Iam so sorry to hear of David's passing. He was in Mr.Cashey's homeroom with me in Wiley and I also knew him at Heights. He was such a nice. sweet and pleasant person. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
I recall David as well...mostly from those Wiley days. I lost my oldest brother 6 years ago to Pancreatic Cancer, and cared for him in his home his final days. Although we never met, my heart goes out to Nancy. PC is NOT an easy way to go. You'll be missed, David.
I first heard of David's passing only a month ago. through a mutual friend of ours ... he, David, and I were in the same 6th grade class, Mr. McDonald's and Mr. Altshuld's at Belvoir. The three of us became good friends as Dave was a new student in our school system. In fact, I recall that David's parents moved to University Hts. from Garfield just so Dave could get a better education. Dave and I re-connected at the 20th reunion, I think. I met Nancy, and their two kids. They lived near my parents in Southern California, so I tried to see Dave whenever I could. What a shock to hear of his death. My condolences to Nancy and her kids. Dave was a class act, a dear friend, and a light to those who knew him well.
I just saw the notice of David's passing. I moved to University Hts in 9th grade and met David in our homeroom with Mr. Cashey. What a sweet guy he was and very welcoming to a new kid in school. We remained friends at Heights and I remember a nice visit at one of our school reunions, where of coure David was the same warm and nice man he always was. My sincere sympathies to Nancy and his family.
